Cairo is the capital of Egypt which is full of the important attractions of many eras. The attractions in Cairo are various; there are pharaonic attractions like the Pyramids of Giza and the Egyptian Museum, Coptic attractions like the Hanging Church and other destinations in the Coptic Quarter, and Islamic attractions like the Citadel of Saladin with its mosques and the Bazaar of Khan El Khalili which reflects the Islamic architecture. Cairo is highlighted with its mosques and is known as “the city of a thousand minarets”.

The Synagogue was a Christian church but when it increased the annual taxes imposed by the Muslim rulers in the dynasty of Ahmed Ibn Tulun, Abraham Ibn Ezra of Jerusalem in 882 bought the church for 20 thousand dinars. From this moment the church converted to a Jewish synagogue.
