Is it safe to travel to Egypt?
Egypt has been visited by tourists for centuries and Egyptians have built a reputation for their warmth and courtesy towards visitors. Egyptian cities are generally very safe, especially the tourist spots.

Can I travel to Egypt as a single woman?
Many women travel alone through Egypt. You don’t have to be afraid as a woman traveling alone, but it is important to be aware of the possible additional attention and glances and to act accordingly well and confidently. First of all, women should dress according to the culture and avoid particularly short clothing or deep necklines. It may well happen that women traveling alone are approached or even invited by men. Decline such offers and you are on the safe side. For your safety, you can also connect with other travelers via social media.

Do you need a visa to travel to Egypt?
Yes; Whether you live in your country of origin or if you live in another and you have a residence permit, you can go to the Egyptian embassy and request your tourist visa, the price of it will depend on the country you are in.

However, in both cases, you can also buy your visa at the airport when you arrive in Cairo or Alexandria. If you want to stay longer in Egypt, you should extend your tourist visa at the Abaseya Complex in Cairo or at the corresponding government offices in cities such as Luxor or Alexandria; or any other city where you stay

When is the best time to travel to Egypt?
There is no best time to travel to Egypt! As the choice of the period depends on the type of trip you want to make. For a holiday on the Red Sea, for example, the ideal period is from the end of February to the end of October, although it is preferable to avoid the strong heat of July and August.

If, on the other hand, you are interested in cultural trips and are planning to go to Luxor, Aswan, and Abu Simbel. It will be better to opt for the winter period so as to make less effort during excursions to the various tourist sites.

In general, however, August is best avoided across the country when temperatures reach annual highs. It is very advisable to travel to Egypt in Easter and Christmas and New Year 2021.

What are the best places to visit in Egypt?
You cannot miss Cairo, especially the Giza Pyramids, the Saladin Citadel, the Egyptian Museum, Moez and Bab Zweila Street, the Khan el Khalili bazaar, and see a Tannura presentation at El Ghouri. In Luxor, discover the Valley of the Kings, the Temples of Luxor, Karnak, Hatshepsut, the Colossi of Memnon and take a balloon ride over the city. In Aswan, visit the Philae Temple, the Nubian Village, the Unfinished Obelisk, the Aswan Dam, and Elephantine Island. At the lake Nasser, get to know the Abu Simbel Temples. In Sharm El Sheikh, snorkel, dive and visit Ras Mohamed, Mount Sinai, and the Monastery of Sant Cathrine. In Hurghada, visit Giftun Island. In Alexandria, discover the famous Alexandria Library, the Citadel of Qaitbay, Montazah Park, the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa. In Dahab, dive into the blue hole. What to buy in Egypt?
You can travel safely to Egypt, but be careful not to be fooled by buying gadgets actually made in China. We recommend that you prefer local crafts: mother-of-pearl, ceramic, and alabaster objects (always check with the merchants that they are local products).

Try to buy some Egyptian cotton (among the best in the world). Take advantage of your trip to Egypt to buy spices, perfumed oils, essences, and soap (olive oil is particularly good). You can also buy henna.
