Next, lunch at a local restaurant, and then a felucca ride to the Nubian village, which is located in the lower part of the Elephant Island. Day 2: Drive to Abu Simbel from Aswan

At 3:30 in the morning you will be able to pick up breakfast at your hotel in Aswan, and then, accompanied by a guide and driver, you will visit two temples of Abu Simbel, with their unique style, which are considered the masterpieces of ancient Egypt. They reflect the glory and greatness of the new kingdom. The Egyptian government and UNESCO are working together to keep these temples from flooding.

The temple of Ramses II was dedicated to four gods: Ptah, Re-He-Aktey, Amon-Ra, and Ramses II himself. The great temple of Abu Simbel is also called the Temple of the Sun of Ramses II. The temple of Queen Nefertari is also called the Temple of Hathor, who was the wife of the sun god. In this way, symbolically, the two temples, Ramses II and Nefertari unite Ramses II, Nefertari, Hathor, and the sun god into one.

Your lunch will be at a local restaurant in Aswan, followed by free time to rest before driving back to your hotel in Luxor.
