A Jakada Tours Egypt representative will pick you up at your hotel in Cairo and escort you to Alexandria.
The first visit to Pompey’s Pillar. It was built in honor of Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century. Previously, it was the location of the Serapetum Temple, which was once a magnificent building that rivaled the Roman Colosseum.
Next, you will visit the Qaitbay Fortress, which was built on the site of the Alexandria lighthouse of the ancient pharaohs. lunch will be served en route, followed by a visit to the Library of Alexandria.
You will also see the catacombs, which are the largest Roman cemetery, consisting of three levels carved into the rock.
Finally, transfer back to your hotel in Cairo.
