Hurghada is the capital of the Red Sea coast. It is the best tourist destination to enjoy the beauty of the Red Sea because of its clear beaches and crystalline waters. History of Hurgada

It was founded in the 20th century in 1905. It was a fishing village where there are simple urban houses. The urban atmosphere continues to this day. In 1913 it found oil and started exporting it in 1921.

In 1980 it became a major tourist destination. Its name is because of the plants that grew naturally there or it is said because of the name of a deserted area that is called “Disha Hurgada”.

There are three areas in Hurgada; el-Dahar (the oldest area where there is a bazaar), Sigala (where there are resorts, restaurants, and hotels), and el-Memsha (modern part of town. There are also islands like Giftun Island, Shaab Abu Ramada Island, Magawish Island, and some resorts around Hurgada like el-Gouna, Makadi Bay, Soma Bay, and Sahl Hashish.

Hurgada is also famous for its desert where you can go on a desert safari with an oasis dinner.
